As of April, 2015, Chloe has suffered her 8th penalty for the death system traditionally. Her sixth death, had little to no discernible effect, as she has an item of great emotional importance to give up, but her seventh death saw her lose memories of many major historical pieces, cultures, places and people who are not directly important to her. She remembers her key relationships (Kirika, Mireille, Altena and the Soldats in particular, one or two of her kills.), but a lot of details outside of the Soldats will be fuzzy or just gone.
Mentally, she can cope with these changes if they happen, as to her a lot of the rest of her world wasn't important, but increasingly her memories of the Soldats are bereft of the context in the world outside of them that they operated in. She knows 'what' she was, but not 'why' she was, other than Altena's teachings. Increasingly, her awareness has caused her to value her remaining life on the island intensely, as she cannot determine anything that she could give up rather than lose all of her memories of her former life.
Deaths 9 & 10 will be crossed when they come up, and much more likely to have lasting effects on her psyche.
